Reiki may be given in a chair or on a bed
It may also be sent a distance, both over space and over time.

Normally, Reiki is given face to face, with the Reiki practitioner, the person giving the treatment, being close to the recipient. Touching the person is optional. It can feel nice and reassuring to touch. But it is not necessary. If you don't want to feel Mick touching you to give you Reiki, just say. He will check anyway. Reiki energy goes where it is needed, and if you would rather not feel the practitioners hands on you, that is entirely ok.

What does receiving Reiki feel like?

Reiki never feels unpleasant. It can sometimes feel a little strange. It may feel like a tingle on the skin. It may feel warm. It may feel cold.
Sometimes, Reiki feels nothing at all!  Receiving Reiki is as ideosyncratic as we are. But whether you feel anything happening or not, you can be certain Reiki is finding its way to where it needs to be. That is the nature of this amazing healing energy.

You remain in complete control. The treatment stops as soon as you wish it to. Though a normal Reiki treatment takes around an hour, sometimes a little less, and sometimes a little more.
